With instant-runoff voting, it's advantageous to rank highest the
conlang(s) you most want to learn, and then list all the ones you
wouldn't mind learning in most to least preferred order, omitting the
ones you have no interest in learning at all.  With that voting
system, you can't hurt the chances of your favorite conlang by also
giving a ranking to other, less preferred conlangs; your rankings for
those others will only come into effect if your favorite conlang has
already been eliminated by getting the fewest votes in one of the
earlier rounds.   (That is an advantage of instant-runoff voting vs.
range voting, IMO.   But range voting has advantages too, in a
situation like this where many people may not have strong relative
preferences among their several preferred conlangs.)
