I think it makes more sense to wait a bit longer. Get it down to a short-short list of about the top five, and if any of these conlangers are on that list, contact them then. Perhaps late August. If all say "aye", then bob's your uncle; if one says "nay", then you've pared your list down a bit and bob's *still* your uncle!

Exactly. I guess on the off chance that the top five are *all* presently ignorant of the Project, and should all five run screaming from the idea; just move down the list to the bottom of the top ten and work from there!
