I hadn't thought through any clever voting strategies designed more to hinder one selection rather than help another. I was just thinking of a way to convey "I like all this lot about the same" versus "I have a strong preference for these two over any others". If the IRV system isn't too cumbersome for the vote counters, then I'm sure it'll produce desirable results.<br>
